An introduction to D+I

We have all heard Diversity and Inclusion being talked about, whether it's in the news, with friends, and more than likely, at work. The beginner's guide to Diversity and Inclusion session is designed to equip you with the tools to begin important conversations of the topic. We will discuss the importance of D+I in the workplace as well as the benefits it has for your business and its people. We will also touch upon why we celebrate and commemorate key dates in the D+I calendar and the importance of having open and mindful discussions with our colleagues and peers.

From understanding how people identify, what is the correct terminology and how to understand and use of pronouns, The it's just banter workshop creates a safe space for your team to explore inclusive language and to ask those 'uncomfortable questions'

Coping with Grief

Grief is something that can and will affect us all at some point in our lives. Whether it is the loss of a loved one, a break up or loss of health. In this session Chris talks about his own experiences of grief and methods that have helped him cope. We also explore other ways grief may show up in our life and how to best support our friends and colleagues who maybe struggling to come to terms with it.

Our Diversity and Inclusion Workshops cover a wide variety of topics, from Inclusive Language Unconscious Bias to LGBT+ terminology. This means we can cater to businesses at the start of their D+I journey as well as those requiring training on niche topics. 

Unconscious bias

Unconscious bias – we’ve seen it in the media and maybe even had a quick talk about it at work, but what does it actually mean? In this workshop, we will take you through unconscious bias by getting you to look at the bigger picture. Many of our biases run deeper than those we are aware of. That’s why we will help you identify all your biases, as well as those of others, and understand how easy it is to fall into the trap.

How to be an affective ally

We need allys to envoke change and be the voice of the oppressed. In this workshop we will uncover the importance of being an ally for those without a voice or seat at the table. We will support your team on how to have effective conversations and what it means to be an empathetic listener and effective ally for our colleagues.

The thing about pronouns

In this sessions we guide you through the importance of correct pronouns use, respect and why it is imperative that your business supports and actively encourages its people to make their pronouns visible. We will take you through the history of gender-neutral pronouns, how they have always existed and the evolution of language

The A-T of LGBTQIA+

The A-to-T of LGBT+ will give you a complete rundown of the meanings behind the acronym – from asexual and queer to non-binary and trans. It will also give you a better understanding of pronouns and some useful tips on how to be more inclusive of LGBT+ employees. We will give you and your teams the tools to ensure that being LGBT+ is more than Pride and LGBT History Month.
